  • The Dreaming Table | Brand Collage

[This collage was not divined. It was created by sitting with the soul and vision of The Dreaming Table and translating that knowing into visual form. It holds the energy of what The Dreaming Table is and what it is being built toward.]

The piece is wide format and moves across three zones that flow into each other. The left zone holds a large ocean wave with a Black man playing a djembe drum in the lower left, wearing white. Two Black women in white dresses float or leap through the air above him, their bodies in motion and joy. Text in the upper left reads: The Act of Becoming Whole. Cursive script reads: Let love in. At the very bottom: My soul is my guide. A person in an orange kayak paddles in the lower center of this zone. The center zone is a bayou or swamp landscape with massive cypress trees draped in Spanish moss. A woman in a white off-shoulder lace dress stands at an easel painting. An Africa-shaped form made entirely of cowrie shells floats behind her. Multiple cowrie shells of various sizes and types float throughout the upper center. A large yellow circular element connects across the piece with yellow lines radiating outward. Text curving along the yellow ring reads: CLEAR MINDS, OPEN DOORS, ALIGNED. Faded text at the top center reads: Sensitivity is divinity. The right zone is a lush jungle landscape with a waterfall and rushing water. A Black woman in white sits near the water on rocks leaning forward with intention. In the misty background, a Black man and a Black woman embrace, floating together in the clouds. Hands pour water from vessels in the upper right. Text reads: WHAT A TIME TO BE ALIGNED. A cloud element floats in the middle right. Text reads: YOU ARE THE ARTIST and THE ART.

The Dreaming Table is a decolonial practice rooted in the belief that we decolonize, indigenize, and liberate ourselves through creativity and communal dreaming. It is a space for people who are not waiting for permission to build what comes next. This collage holds that vision in full. The drum is playing. The woman is painting. The water is moving. The cowrie shells map the continent of origin. The golden thread connects everything. You are both the artist and the art.

  • Fire + Honey | Brand Collage

[This collage was not divined. It was created by sitting with the soul and vision of Fire and Honey and translating that knowing into visual form. It holds the energy of what Fire and Honey is and what it is being built toward.]

The piece is wide format. The background is a warm golden honeycomb texture covering the entire surface in rich amber and orange tones. Honey drips down from the upper portion in thick golden streams. All the human figures are vintage black and white photographs placed against the warm golden background. In the lower center, a Black woman lies in bed holding two newborn twins, both swaddled in white, a Black midwife in a white uniform and cap sitting beside her smiling warmly. In the upper center left, three young Black boys in matching outfits stand together, one eating. On the left, a Black elder woman in a floral dress and glasses stands beside a Black elder man in a white shirt, together in a tender domestic moment. On the upper center right, a Black woman in athletic wear moves with full energy, a young Black boy nearby also in motion. On the lower right, a young Black girl with braids looks directly at the viewer with a steady and serious expression. Large tropical green leaves appear at the center. A bee appears in the upper left near branches. A large wasp appears in the lower right. Honeycomb structures sit in the lower right. Watermelon slices appear in the upper right in vivid color. Cinnamon sticks appear on the right side. Botanical illustrations in gold line drawing style appear on the lower left. Branches and wood elements sit in the upper left. A lit candle burns on the far left edge.

Fire and Honey is the permanent creative home that The Dreaming Table is building toward, a space for gatherings, residencies, retreats, and publishing cohorts rooted in Ancestral connection and communal abundance. This collage holds that vision. The midwife is present at the birth. The elders are already in the room. The children are fed and moving and looking back at us. The honey is dripping. The hive is alive.
