Divination as Anchor - Workshops
(Led by Nyasha Williams)
Who it’s for:
People who are hearing the call for creative play, who learn best with their hands busy, and who are ready to make space for themselves. No experience with divination, writing, or collage is needed.
How it’s created:
Nyasha consults the Ancestors to learn which craft each day calls for, whether writing, collage, shrines, tarot cards, or oracle cards, and the making grows from what the cards reveal.
What the day feels like:
Slow, communal, and Ancestrally connected, with generous room for creative play that stretches your imagination.
Includes:
All crafting materials, the divination tools, and guided facilitation through each step of the process.
Availability:
Held regularly at locations across the Denver and Boulder area. Dates, times, and locations are listed with each workshop.
Investment:
Sliding scale - $25-$50 (Workshop dependent)
Divination as Anchor workshops are short, hands-on gatherings where Nyasha brings a collection of divination tools, including tarot, oracle, and other divination systems, and we make space to sit with them. Each workshop is held as either a Morning, Afternoon, or Evening of Dreaming and runs two to three hours.
Together we set an intention, pull from the divination collection, and reflect on the messages that come through. Then we turn to that day's craft, whether writing, collage, or another hands-on form, and use what we pulled as the foundation for what we make.
Across these sessions, we move through Poka Laenui’s five phases of decolonization: rediscovery, mourning, dreaming, commitment, and action but always through creativity, embodiment, and collective imagination.
No two gatherings are the same.
Each day is shaped by:
what the group needs,
what the land and elements request, and
what emerges through divination and co-facilitation.
