A Golden Thread collage is a divination-rooted art practice created by Nyasha Williams. Each piece begins with a reading drawn from multiple oracle and tarot systems, pulled with the intention of calling the recipient back to their golden thread, the core of who they are before obligation, before the labels the world placed on them, before survival mode shaped them away from themselves. The reading is then translated into a bespoke digital collage that holds the medicine of what was received, a visual offering designed to ignite Ancestral remembrance, creative reignition, and soul alignment. Golden Thread collages are created in multiple forms.
Individual collages are made for a single person, often as a birthday offering or gift, and arrive with an audio recording walking the recipient through the reading and the visual.
Couples collages are made for partnerships, centering the shared golden thread of two people moving through life together and arrive with an audio recording walking the recipient through the reading and the visual.
Community Day of Dreaming collages are created for participants of The Dreaming Table's gatherings and are part of a larger package that includes: the audio recording walking the recipient through the reading and the visual as well as a custom sound bath composed by sound healer Christina Ifurung, made specifically in response to the collage and the reading it holds.
Day of Dreaming collages serve as the visual anchor for every Dreaming Table gathering. When Nyasha facilitates alone, she divines and creates the collage herself. When the gathering is co-facilitated, the collage is divined and created together with the co-facilitator. In both cases, participants receive their own individual Golden Thread collage as part of their experience (Community Day of Dreaming collages), alongside a custom sound bath composed by sound healer Christina Ifurung, made specifically in response to each person's collage and the reading it holds.
