The piece is set inside a bayou at deep blue dusk, cypress trees rising through mist over lily pad-covered water. At the center, a dark figure stands with both hands raised, holding a great grey orb that is at once a moon and a womb, a baby visible inside it and emerging from it. A looping red thread moves through the composition. A snake and a fish coil together through intricate white lace in the upper right corner. Patterned cloth hangs on a laundry line in the upper left. Gold stars scatter across the water and sky. Pearls drop from the orb. Broken blue and white pottery shards arc along the bottom left. Flowers in full abundance, an open oyster with a pearl inside, a bee at work, and a ceramic bowl and tea pot, fill the bottom right.

The reading relayed that the Mother is the one through whom new life moves, the healer whose strength lives in aligned partnership and whose medicine reaches further than may yet be known.
