An annual fall retreat held and guided by Nyasha Williams
The Dreaming Table is a multi-day creative and Ancestral retreat held once each fall, a spacious, ceremonial gathering shaped by rest, ritual, imagination, and collective liberation. This retreat is led by Nyasha Williams, held in deep relationship with her Ancestors and spiritual court, and occasionally co-facilitated with a collaborator whose medicine is specifically called in for that year. The length of the retreat can range from five to seven days.
At the Dreaming Table, we spend each day moving through Poka Laenui’s Processes of Decolonization —
Rediscovery. Mourning. Dreaming. Commitment. Action; Creatively sitting with each step as a living pathway home to ourselves and to one another.
Each day is its own portal:
Rediscovery & Recovery: returning to identity, body, lineage, and elemental connection through rest, slowness, creativity, and ritual.
Mourning: honoring grief, shedding what has been carried alone, and making space for release through movement, sound, ceremony, and communal holding.
Dreaming: expanding imagination, co-creating new worlds, reclaiming possibility through play, creative practice, joy, and wonder.
Commitment: naming your golden thread: your role, your medicine, your direction and weaving it into artistic and ritual expression.
Action: grounding dreams into intentional practice, calling in aligned change, and stepping into communally liberated ways of being.
Throughout the retreat, we blend:
Ancestral veneration and reverence
creative embodiment
dreaming and worldbuilding
communal meals
rest and nature
silence, slowness, and spaciousness
intuitive ritual
co-creation and collective reflection
The Dreaming Table is both renewal and return being a place to come back to yourself, reclaim your imagination, and remember what liberation feels like in the body.
It is a retreat for those longing to live, create, and dream in right relationship with the Earth, their Ancestors, community, and their future self.
