The Offering Divination System is an Ancestral devotional tool currently in creation, anchored by Nyasha Williams's artistic mediumship and divination practice and developed in collaboration with Christine G. Hill, whose lens of human design and astrology has been instrumental in shaping the system's development. Christine will also be contributing to the writing of the deck as it comes into its final form. This is not a traditional oracle deck. It is a full divinatory system built to help people hear the voices of their Ancestors, guides, and spirit team clearly in terms of what they are asking for in offering.
Most people think of offerings narrowly, food, candles, incense. But an offering can be so much more. It can be a place you go, a taste you seek out, a color you wear, a number you sit with, a time of day you dedicate to your practice, a country whose lineage you honor. This system was designed to open that understanding wide and deepen the relationship between you and your spirit team in a very practical, receivable way.
The artwork featured throughout the deck centers vintage imagery of the diaspora, Ancestral figures whose presence carries medicine and memory. As part of her artistic mediumship practice, Nyasha asked for consent from the Ancestors featured in each card before including them in the work. Their presence here is intentional, honored, and invited.
This system was inspired by Grandma Baby's Black Gold Lenormand, whose beautiful creation sparked Nyasha's vision for her this Oracle, one that spoke directly to what Ancestors are communicating when they ask to be supported through offering. The result is a system that is as practical as it is spiritual, giving people a tangible way to listen and respond to what their spirit team actually needs.
The system currently includes 24 sections of cards covering time of day, day of the week, physical location, methods of travel, vices, lighting and burning herbs and roots, cleansing, African countries and locations Black people are connected to through the diaspora, fruit, cuisines and flavor profiles, taste, health, activity, commune, nature, elements, numbers, diet, time, and color. Accompanying dice address urgency, who the offering is for, who is partaking in the ritual, and other dimensions of the practice.
The system is available in multiple formats, from cards only to cards with dice to a full wooden board experience that grounds the practice in physical, tactile ritual. We are listening to the Ancestors in terms of how everything is meant to come together and what forms will be available.
